The Logic MFT “Scrub Buster” flail mower range is one of two Logic flail ranges available.

The Scrub Buster is designed to tackle heavy duty, rough conditions and when used in combination with an ATV/UTV provides access to rough or steep ground which may not be accessible to larger machinery.

This Logic flail mower range are the ideal machines to cut grass, rush, brambles, heather and other vegetation. However, this model range is also equally capable of cutting good quality grass in paddocks, offering a really good finish. When fitted with the low ground pressure tyre option, they allow access to wet ground, preventing wheel ruts and minimising damage.

See the MFP flail mower range for the other option, recommended for more general topping purposes. Also, the TRM rotary mower, suitable for regular topping/grass cutting on more even ground.

Logic’s MFT flail mower range comes in 1.0m and 1.2m cutting widths. All models are fitted with a quick off-set drawbar, anti-scalping roller, engine kill switch and easy height adjustment. Options include a choice of wheels alongside or wheels behind – this option improves access through narrow openings as well as allowing closer cutting up to walls/fences. Electric start and remote throttle controls are available.

A flotation wheel option is available for softer conditions on wheels alongside models only. Please note that wheels-behind options do place significant additional loading on the drawbar, so ensure that the towing vehicle is suitable – a jack is provided to assist hitch attachment and removal.

The Destroyer Flail is designed to cut and pulverize heavy scrub and forestry regrowth up to 150 mm. It is the perfect choice for maintenance of areas such as woodland rides, dense scrub and plantations.

This highly robust machine features heavy duty mulching teeth fitted on an electronically balanced rotor mounted on enclosed, self-aligning bearings. A heavy-duty driveline with 5 or 6 belts (model dependent), gives reliable power transmission in the most challenging conditions. Other key features are a hydraulic opening hood and an adjustable push frame which work together to ensure that material is channelled efficiently into the mulcher.

The Destroyer Flail is available in a choice of working widths between 1.4 and 2.0 metres and is ideal for forward and reverse drive.

The Destroyer Flail HD is designed to cut and pulverize heavy scrub and forestry regrowth up to 250mm. It is the perfect choice for high output operators in maintaining areas such as woodland dense scrub and plantations.

This highly robust machine features heavy duty mulching teeth fitted on an electronically balanced rotor mounted on enclosed, self-aligning bearings. A heavy-duty driveline with 10 belts, gives reliable power transmission in the most challenging conditions. Other key features are an adjustable hydraulic opening hood and push frame with grab teeth, which work together to ensure that material is channelled efficiently into the mulcher.

The Destroyer Flail HD is available in a working width of 2.5 metres and is ideal for forward and reverse drive.

The Destroyer rotary mulcher is designed to cut and pulverize heavy scrub and forestry regrowth up to 150mm. It is the perfect choice for maintenance of areas such as woodland rides and waterway banks.

This highly robust machine features three, 15mm hardened blades designed to work in the most intense conditions. Power transmission is given through a 150hp heavy-duty gearbox with a 4-plate slip clutch on the input PTO shaft. Assistance to clearing scrub material effectively is given through a rear bull bar, flattening material before meeting the blades along with adjustable, extra wide skids.

The Destroyer rotary mulcher is available in a working width of 2.1 metres and is ideal for forward and reverse drive.

  • Wessex SM-66 Scrubmaster Rotary Slasher

Ideal for controlling areas of dense vegetation or heavy scrubland, this rotary slasher has an enviable reputation for serious scrub-clearing ability. At work in woodlands and areas of forest across the UK and Europe, the Scrubmaster rotary slasher will power its way unstoppably through dense brush and scrub. Constructed from a heavy gauge steel plate with an exceptionally high-performance drive system, the Scrubmaster is built to last.

Blade assembly – Comprising 4 heavy-duty reversible blades mounted on a large hardened steel square plate, the rotary slasher is able to deliver over 2000 1-ton impact cuts per minute. The blade cutters give a cleaner cutting action than chains when cutting wood material, and can be used for controlling grass & weed growth.

Chain cutters – These are recommended for use in areas where there is a likelihood of tree stumps and boulders which could cause damage to blades. Three high tensile chains are mounted on a circular boss and will lacerate cut material more than blades, accelerating the breakdown of woody and fibrous scrub growth with minimal effort.

Adjustable side skids – Replaceable wear shoes are re-positioned to alter the cutting height. The skids are positioned so that the working width is only marginally less than the overall width allowing the machine to cut close to trees in plantations and stumps.

Fully-floating headstock – The fully-floating headstock on the rotary slasher, allows the machine to be dragged across the rough ground with minimal stress to the frame of the machine, whilst a heavy galvanised chain takes the weight of the machine when lifted out of work.

Heavy gauge steel tailgates – These are key to ensuring the debris below the machine is reduced to mulch during operation.

Drive – The drive is transmitted via a friction plate clutch to the heavy gearbox with hardened, bevel gears running in an oil bath for smooth operation. The cutter assembly is welded on a tapered hub which locks onto the gearbox output shaft.
