Cultivators

Our range of Agricultural Cultivators are designed to disturb the top surface of the soil to prepare the soil into a smooth, loose, aerated, weed free seedbed.

We specialise in machinery from Premium brands such as HE-VA and can offer a  wide variety of types to suit every application. Types include:  Pre and disc cultivators, subsoilers, seeding tool-bars and stubble cultivators.

  • HE-VA Combi-Disc Cultivators

HE-VA’s Combi-Disc is a multipurpose cultivator designed to subsoil, surface cultivate and consolidate in one pass. The compact mounted 3m version can be used on tractors from 170hp upwards whilst the 4.25m and 5.25m trailed units are capable of being used on tractors from 350hp. The Combi-Disc provides versatility for smaller farms by being able to perform a number of different jobs from primary to secondary cultivation and from subsoiling to shallow disc cultivating. Equally, for larger farmers and contractors, the trailed folding machines are at home being used as shallow stale seedbed preparation on 180hp tractors or working up to 400mm (16”) deep moving the whole soil profile from the surface down on a 350hp tractor. Adaptability and ease of adjustment are standard features throughout the range.

  • HE-VA Combi-Lift Pre-Cultivators

The Combi-Lift Pre-Cultivator fits directly to the tractor linkage and incorporates a rear clevis which can be used to pull a cultivator or drill. Furthermore, the machine can also be fitted with Stealth 15mm low-disturbance legs to enable light loosening of compaction without heave in min-till or direct drilling situations.

    The Combi-Lift comes in 3 m (5 leg), 4 m (7 or 8 leg) and 6 m (11 or 12 leg) models, the hydraulic folding machines folding down to 2.5 m transport width.

  • HE-VA Disc Roller Contour Cultivators

HE-VA’s Disc Roller Contour is a high speed multipurpose primary and secondary cultivator suitable for any farm. Simple to use with th the disc depth hydraulically operated from within the tractor cab. The Disc Roller Contour has a unique contour following system which means that when a machine is unfolded it is not ridged across its working width. The system comes into its own when working at a shallow depth when ground can be missed in a weed chit situation. A situation that is usually overcome, by other disc cultivators, by working the discs deeper.

Unlike traditional concave discs or aggressively angled discs that lift soil and cut out “grooves” forming a corrugation effect under the surface, HE-VA’s DSD, depth synchronised disc, system works to move the whole soil surface and is effective in both shallow soils and at depth. The 510mm Sabre discs pull themselves into the ground which assists penetration meaning more soil is inverted and residue incorporated.

Available as a rigid machine, working widths 2.75 m & 3.25 m and as a two or three section folding machine. Two section cultivators with widths of 4.25m – 6.25m and a three section machine with working widths of 7.75m. The Disc Roller Contour is available with either a single or twin roller and a number of front tool options on the trailed models. These include Top Cutter for mechanical cover crop destruction, shatta and slicer boards for aggressive levelling ahead of the discs or straw tines.

  • HE-VA Stealth LD Subsoilers

The HE-VA Stealth – a medium depth, low disturbance subsoiler. Its scalloped straight, front cutting discs cut through trash, vegetation and top soil, reduce soil burst and in turn grassweed germination.

The Stealth’s low disturbance legs are staggered in 2 rows to allow residue flow through the machine to reduce the required tractor lift capacity whilst maintaining a lower HP requirement. Leg spacing is standard at 500mm but can be altered to 450mm, 500mm or 550mm, adding versatility for differing soil types and conditions.

The 15mm hardened cast steel low disturbance points are tungsten tipped and 120mm wide creating the necessary lift and shatter whilst ensuring longevity. Similarly, the 15mm leg is thinner than a standard subsoiler leg but, being made from “Hardox” gives it strength and durability.

Surface compaction can be alleviated to a maximum working depth of 300mm (12”). HE-VA’s standard hydraulic depth control is fully adjustable from the tractor seat.

The Stealth has been designed to satisfy the requirements of no till and reduced input farming systems. However, it is also suitable for use in all farming systems where repair to damaged soil structure is required e.g. on headlands, tramlines or other high traffic areas.

The Stealth is available as a 3 m and 3.5 m, rigid, linkage mounted machine or 4 m, 5 m and 6 m hydraulic folding, linkage mounted or trailed machines. A Stealth kit i.e. legs and points are available to retro fit to existing HE-VA machines e.g. the HE-VA Combi-Disc, Evolution and Combi-Lift.

  • HE-VA Subsoilers

HE-VA Subsoilers are designed for minimum draft and maximum heave without bringing large unwanted clods to the surface. The subsoilers come in 7 different frame sizes from 2.5 m to 7 m.

    The mounted rigid subsoilers are available in 2.5 m, 3 m, 3.5 m & 4 m working widths.

The mounted hydraulic folding subsoilers come in working widths of 4 m and 5 m, whilst the trailed hydraulic folding subsoilers are available in 4 m, 5 m, 6 m and 7 m working widths.

The subsoilers come with a number of different leg options to create the correct specification to do the best job on any individual farm. There are subsoiler models to suit most farms and tractors sizes up to 600 hp.
