Update from Ben, our FarmSight Competition Winner

We’ve been catching up with Ben, 6 months since we installed the John Deere AMS technology onto his tractor.

When we caught up with Ben in September he was drilling wheat and oat crop with help from the John Deere StarFire 6000 and AutoTrac guidance system to reduces gaps and overlaps on each pass.

The job was completed quicker with increased accuracy using the technology which is connected to his John Deere 6150M tractor and Amazone combination drill.

Ben used the AutoTrac system to drive the tractor which meant he could spend more time concentrating on implement management and performance of the machinery, all of which is good news for the productivity of his operations.

 

 

Ben is delighted with the level of accuracy in the field and now 6 months on has fully seen the benefits of the FarmSight technology he won in our competition.

The prize included a John Deere 2630 screen, Starfire 6000 receiver and ATU 200 steering unit which we installed onto Ben’s John Deere 6150M tractor.

We’re pleased to share that Ben is so impressed with the equipment and technology that after only 6 months of us he has now made the decision to purchased all of the GPS kit to further his farming practices over the following years.

It really does show that once you have experienced the full capabilities and benefits you won’t look back!
