The SHA 56 is the first cordless vacuum shredder from Stihl. Part of the AK cordless system, the SHA 56 is a versatile tool for domestic homeowners, perfect for blowing, vacuuming and shredding fallen leaves, small hedge clippings and green waste from around the garden. With its simple tool-free setup the SHA 56 can be easily converted to blow or vacuum. Includes shoulder strap and 40 litre collection bag. Working time of up 25 minutes with recommended AK20.

Been waiting over 12 months from another dealer. Ordered from Masons Kings and it was here next day so impressed with speed. I have other tools in the Stihl AK range which I really love, so was eager to get this. Had an Electric one previously which was good and powerful but didn’t mulch very well, due to plastic components.
Assembly was really easy, as was changing tool from a blower to a vacuum shredder. I certainly put it through its paces. Picked up a load of wet leaves from the garden, which it mulched really well. Overall impression was that it had bags of power, possibly too much as I did struggle to keep it from sucking up everything in site. Once full I did find it quite unwieldy, but I admit that I was probably a bit over zealous and should have waited for everything to dry out first. I think that its a great tool but would recommend that you follow manufacturers advice and blow leaves into a pile, before vacuuming. Only improvement I can think of would be to add some guide wheels to bottom of blower tube.
